Invoice Record - Payments

Process Payments Using ACH

The ACH Feature allows you to enable ACH payments (and/or Credit Card payments) on remote invoices that you send out. ACH payments are processed through Stripe and a third party ACH verifier called Plaid.

NOTE: ArtCloud charges a 1% fee (up to a total of $10) for each ACH transaction.

Enabling ACH Payments

ACH payment capability is included with ArtCloud's Manager Enterprise account level. To request access or learn more, contact support@artcloud.com.

Configuring Default Payment Options

To set your default invoice remote pay option to ACH, first navigate to your Account Settings by clicking on your profile at the bottom left of the page. account settings ach

Next, navigate to the Collateral Style menu.

ach only

On the drop-down Default Invoice Remote Pay Options, select ACH Only. The ACH Only selection sets ACH payments as the default that all remote invoices start with. However, you can still change the payment options for individual invoices.

On the Invoice Overlay

You will now see the remote pay icon is displayed on the right column and default enabled payment options for this account are shown highlighted in blue. Clicking on that block will give a pop-out where you can select the options you want on this invoice. select ach

Customer Experience

Now, on the Remote Pay invoice, customers will see payment button(s) according to your selections on the Invoice Overlay: CC only, ACH only, or both. In this example, they can choose between the two.preview-1

Clicking on “Pay with ACH” will take them into a flow powered by Plaid that has them select their bank and connect automatically with their bank login details to authenticate the transaction.

Note: Participating banks are managed by Plaid via Stripe, and ArtCloud cannot do anything to add more banks. If the customer's bank isn't listed, you would have to revert to Credit Card or another payment type.

With this real-time authentication you can trust that funds are on the way, but it can take a few days to clear the source financial institution and to make it into your bank account.
